Greta Matassa is perhaps the most adored jazz performer in the region and Bake’s fans certainly can’t seem to get enough of her. So, we are very excited to announce “Fridays in the Living Room with Greta”, a new concept show, which will take place every week, starting in the New Year. These will be fun and spontaneous evenings, based loosely on the old Dean Martin variety show, and with Greta holding court, they will feature musical guests, occasional comedians, friends sitting in and Greta taking audience requests -always a crowd favorite! “Fridays in the Living Room with Greta” will include special tributes to dignitaries from the local music scene and will also feature some of Greta’s most popular “theme” shows, such as “Ella & Billie” and “Light Out of Darkness: A Tribute to Ray Charles.” The shows will change week to week and there will always be room for surprise guests, musical mayhem and other unexpected shenanigans. With a nod to the old-school variety show and a healthy dose of high-octane fun, this is certain to be the hottest ticket in town. Join us!

We at Bake’s are longtime fans of the blues. We are also big fans of Sundays, the unofficial national day of rest and relaxation in the United States. In homage to two great American traditions, we’ve decided to open up the living room for “Sunday Blues, BBQ and Beer.” The Northwest is home to a wealth of outstanding blues artists. We’ve put together a stellar line-up of some of these great blues musicians and bands and will be showcasing them on Sunday afternoons in March and April. Completing these laid back get-togethers will be a delectable feast of down home BBQ with all the fixings, as well as a selection of imported and domestic beers. There will be a beer special every week. For the non-meat eaters in the crowd, we will have a vegetarian option, as well as an assortment of fresh salads. As always, a full bar will be available. We welcome you to come on out, kick back with and wind down your weekend at Bake’s.
